The partnership between Vittorazi and Helix continues and this time studies and research have focused on the improvement of a propeller for the smaller engine: the Atom 80.

The propeller has a narrower and thicker hub to optimize performance and ensure exceptional comfort, creating a product that allows maximum damping of vibrations in combination with the Atom 80 engine. Furthermore, intervening stiffeners obtained with different layers of carbon fiber inside the propeller, achieved both greater static thrust and better fuel consumption at cruising speed.

The logo engraved on the propeller is a way used by Vittorazi to avoid counterfeiting. It is as well a guarantee mark for the customer and indicates that the approved propellers are the original ones from our commercial network and of high-quality standard.

    Certified Vitto Helix Prop

Posted by Harry Fukutani on Dec 2nd 2021

Got my new Vitto prop from SkySports. I changed wings from an A wing (26Gin Pegasus 2) to a B smaller wing (22 Gravity Xceed) so I could keep up with our group and needed more thrust to not tax the motor so much. Was flying a Helix 125 and now have the new Vitto/Helix 130. It does seem smoother/less vibration but the main thing I wanted was more thrust. I'm cruising 1000rpm lower now and get better climb rate. Love the prop!! Thanks Sky Sports, especially Kris-top notch service.

Vittorazi Helix Carbon Fiber Propeller 125 cm

I'm going into some depth on this review, since I've had a hard time finding feedback on this product. Great quality (as expected from Vittorazi/Helix). Like in the pictures, it's definitely thicker at the hub with shorter chord there than a standard Helix. Side-by-side to a regular Helix, the rest of the profile of the blades looks similar. It is just a little bit heavier than a pure Helix. It seems to be more efficient at cruise (based on fuel consumption) than my regular Helix. Subjective impressions: It has less felt vibration, cruise (mid-range) thrust might be higher, top end thrust might be just a little lower. The only hard numbers that I have is that full throttle RPM is about 100-150 lower versus my 125 cm regular Helix. Whether that's because it's moving more air, or, because of the extra weight, I don't know. Still pleased with this propeller, my regular Helix will now be my spare.
