Worked great!
My engine is older and the cylinder head doesn’t have the match markings on it A, B, C etc. the piston did have the markings so I had somewhere to start. I measured my cylinder ID and old piston to figure out the size piston I needed and bumped it up one size to meet the clearance specs. I broke it in according to the engine manual and it runs great and the spark plug looks great.

Moster 185 piston kit review
This piston kit came with everything you needed to change the piston. Only thing that was not included in the kit was the bearing. However, that was not a big deal. Totally rebuilt the top end of motor and it runs perfectly after break in cycles. One thing I learned when installing a new piston you may want to hone your cylinder so during the break in cycle he piston and rings can create its own fresh pattern in the cylinder.

New style piston for Moster
I was surprised and delighted that Vitto redesign the piston for the Moster. I guess this happened about a year ago, but I've been kinda taking a break. Supposed to address the idle rattle due to skirt wear. The holes in the skirt of the old piston did absolutely nothing. The extra strength and surface should stop the rattle and make everything better. My engine doesn't rattle anymore, but we'll see as the hours accumulate. Bravo to their continuous improvement.

This was not to replace a bad piston just to do a 140-hour maintenance. my engine ran well before but now has about 15 % more power. very noticeable
